Nautical-what else?

Last weekend I went shopping-just a bit though,I promise I've been good. And the skirt was kindly donated by my friends The Lazy Ones. They are the craziest Spanish people you'll ever meet and as well a selling a fine selection of vintage clothing they produce their own range of amazing dresses and skirts. Go check them out at 102 Sclater Street (off Brick Lane) or at their topshop concession!

Voyage Voyage

It has stopped raining in London hurrah I can go on my bike again and pout at the cute boys I pass on the street. Anne-Sophie was here at the weekend so it was shopping shopping shopping again although I didn't spend that much but still ended up with a full new outfit-more on that later.
I went to Notting Hill for the first time in maybe two years, had some cupcakes and sneered at the sloaney kids in American Apparel.
Unless some kind of marriage proposal arises I will be leaving London this summer and going back to Paris, exciting! But there are some other places I am hoping I will be able to visit this year...

1) Brussels, April. Haven't been in 4 years, I really need to visit my little cousin, plus I've heard the shopping opportunities have vastly improved...

2)Martinique, June. More family reasons, haven't visited my grandmother in two years, and I think it's time to go show off my new bikini body.

3) L.A, October. Although I still don't have a driving license, it's probably about time i went to hang out with all the cool v.i.p's.

You know you love me, etc...

So the big question is...are you a Serena or a Blair? I'd like to think I'm more of a Blair because of the bows, cute dresses and colored tights that she wears. I find Serena annoying and her boho-chic look reminds me too much of Sienna Miller and the fact that she's blonde with a goofy smile doesn't help either. That show is so bad it's good, and when is episode 14 gonna be around please?

Sous la pluie

This weekend turned out to be alright, i dj-ed at Catch in not so great conditions but still showed off my best tunes, attended a birthday party and had mild fun, played scrabble till 6 am, cooked the best bangers and mash in a while, realised that everything, after all, is not so bad.
I also bought the pictured shorts, for £2 in the Peacocks sale. For the people that have never had the amazing chance of shopping at Peacocks,I think it's quite hard to describe it. It is a cheap high-street chain with cheap (still more expensive than Primark) clothes, trying to be trend-led but failing pretty much 50% of the time. Although with dedication and time your hands you might find an ok dress, pair of shoes or like me, a decent pair of shorts. The sales were definitely not exciting for me this year, Topshop and Office sucked, and I still dream about the Vanessa Bruno at Urban Outfitters.

The bitch is fit

Anyone that knows me a little will have realised by now that I'm a bit obssessed with Rihanna and that body-wise she is my ultimate fitness model. (move over Beyonce) I couldn't care less about her music but damn I'd kill for these abs and arms. One more year of going to the gym three times a week and I should eventually get there right??
Some man at the tube station office the other day actually made my day: first he asked me, "are you from the Caribbean?".Me yawn."Yeahhrr". Him : "Oh I could tell, you have that Rihanna look". Me "Yeahhhhhhhrrrrr!"
Anyway I'm not too crazy about her bling bling style either, but it made me realise that apart from being from the Caribbean we also share something else, aka the American Apparel vest pictured above. Now that's what I call fucking exciting news my friends. Also I've been looking for a similar pair of brown shorts for a while but no luck so far. Any ideas?

Shopping suite et fin

Dress Primark
Shoes New Look

No you are not looking at a remake of Shining, just the new dress I acquired last week whilst shopping with Katy. The nautical/schoolgirl theme was obviously irresistible to me, as much as the £10 price tag. (fuck you topshop!)
Looks like London might get a bit fun this weekend. If anyone is here, I will be dj-ing at Catch (22 Kingsland Road) friday night from 11, playing the best in euro bangers aka TTC, boys noize and forgotten french pop hits. It's free, so come along to say hi.

Dans mon sac

I was tagged by Cheapskate Chic to reveal 6 items that lie around in my bag. I'm not very faithful when it comes to handbags, I tend to use the same one for about three months then I get tired of it and move on to my next victim! At the moment it is this primark one.
Cute, from H&M, was bored of my beige one.

Lucky Strike Silver, always. And yes I will quit soon. Maybe

I've been on this scarf for ages and I really want to finish it so I carry my knitting around and do some whenever I have time to kill.

Moleskine, lovely. Yes I like red.

I am on a diet so whenever it's time so snack I'd rather have these than reach for a chocolate bar...

Yeah I know Beigbeder is a bit cliché but hey.

Now i'd like to tag
J'adore le dancefloor, Mademoiselle Robot and The Dregs.

to craque or not to craque

Help!

"No sex please we're english"

Katy my good friend from Paris was in London for a couple of days, which could only mean three things: gossiping, eating and obviously shopping. A quick stop by American Apparel proved to be sufficient to revive the fluokid in me. (Oh I wish how I was I was 20 again!) Betty recently blogged about the black lamé leggings, well in my case I fell for the black lamé skirt. I don't know if I'm only one feeling like this but I find it hard to wear AA in the winter and actually I can't wait for the summer so I can wear my vests and hoodies again.

Retour en douceur

To be back in London sucks a bit, especially since I've already broken one of my new year's resolutions quite hard. Blah. The only good thing about being here is that you can dress like crazy and no-one gives a shit. I don't know why but I'm in a partying and shopping mood.

"It's not you, it's the E talking"

Bonne année!Happy New Year! Ok I know it's already the 2nd of January but it has taken me a while to recover from new years eve...I have to see the doctor this afternoon because my cold won't go away,I am terrified that for whatever crazy reason he would ask me to do some blood tests and be shocked by the results.
Anyway, bonne année etc...At least in my case I think that 2008 can only be better than 2007. I will rise from the ashes!
